Definition

Indicates the usage of labels.

Use

Every label category is assigned a number of label types and represents the highest level of label specification. The number of different label categories is the same as the number of different labels that can be used at the same time for a material.

Example

The following three label categories exist:

• Material label
• Shelf-edge label
• Poster

In this case a material (or rather the sales unit of a material) is marked with a material label. The materials are placed on a shelf that also has a shelf-edge label. If the material is on promotion, a poster may also be hung from the ceiling.
