Definition

Controls the usage, appearance, and processing of a label.

Use

Every label type belongs to one label category.

The appearance of a label is determined by its assignment to a layout.

The label type is a main feature that determines how the label is processed (e.g. by which printer - this is done via output determination).

Example

The following six label types exist for the categories 'Material label (AE)' and 'Shelf-edge label (RE)':

  • AE, Swing tickets
  • AE, Gum tabs
  • AE, Without bar code
  • AE, Big
  • RE, Green
  • RE, Promotion
