Definition

Delivery date of this schedule line. The delivery date can be:

• The date requested by the customer or (if the date requested by the customer cannot be met)
• The earliest date proposed by the system once an automatic availability check and delivery scheduling have been carried out

Use

The system uses the delivery date of each schedule line and the predefined date estimates for the activities relating to the delivery (such as picking and packing) to calculate the

• material staging date
• loading date
• goods receipt date
• transport planning date

Dependencies

If the system determines the aforementioned data automatically, the fields delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling must be active in the definition of sales documents (Tools - Customizing - Sales and Distribution - Basic Function - Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements - Delivery scheduling by sales document type).

Note

If the item contains several schedule lines, the earliest delivery date is displayed on the item and overview screens.
