Definition

Specifies that the status of the phrase item is transferred on import or export depending on the context.

Use

The system reaction depends on whether you are in phrase import or phrase export.

  • Phrase import:

    The phrase item status is imported if it is contained in the file.

  • Phrase export:

    The phrase item status is exported if it is present in the SAP System.

Dependencies

If you have set the Phrase status on the screen for phrase import or phrase export, you can additionally specify a status for each language using the language selection function.

  • Phrase import:

    In phrase import, the phrase status specified in language selection is imported, and not the phrase status from the file.

  • Phrase export:

    In phrase export, the phrase status specified in language selection is exported, and not the phrase status from the SAP System. This new status is simultaneously set for the relevant language item in the SAP System.

Note:

You must make sure that only the permitted statuses are specified in language selection. The permitted phrase statuses are derived from the indicators you define in the IMG activity Specify Phrase Status.
