Use

For every value assignment type you can use this indicator to specify that the usage is to be activated automatically if a new value assignment was created for the respective value assignment type.

To do this, you must also have assigned a usage profile to the value assignment type.

If the usage you want to activate overlaps a status-protected area, the usage is created as inactive. The system thus prevents new status-protected data being created in this manner.
To determine whether there is an overlap, the system checks:

• Whether the relevant specification has a status entry within its validity period whose usage overlaps with the usage of the specification
• Whether this status entry protects the data from being edited

Dependencies

Only the usage ratings for which the user has display authorization are activated.

The SAP System only expands value assignments on a corresponding report if the value assignments are active.
