Definition
You use the characteristic type to define which fields of the inspection characteristic are filled by the EH&S characteristic. A characteristic type must be specified for each EH&S characteristic. The data definition of the EH&S characteristic should match the characteristic type.
The following characteristic types are supplied with the standard system:
- Target value (single numeric value)
- Value range
- Attributive entry
- Inspection method
- Additional information
When the following characteristic types are specified, the listed fields are filled in the inspection characteristic:
Characteristic Type Fields in Inspection Characteristic
Target value Target value, unit of meas. (if available), quantitative indicator
Value range Lower limit, upper limit, unit of meas. (if available), quantitative indicator
Attributive entry Selected set, plant for selected set, qualitative indicator
Inspection method Method, plant for method
Additional information Infofield-3
In the IMG activity Specify Types of Characteristics, you can specify your own types. As these are not taken into account by the coding in the standard system, you should implement your own function module analogous to EHQM09_BUILD_CHA_NO_COMP in this case, which handles your own characteristic types. Assign the function module in the main screen of the mapping table in the function module column.
Note:
Each characteristic type can only be assigned once per entry in the mapping table so that no conflicts arise when filling the inspection characteristic.
