Documentation
Definition
In this field, you enter a characteristic value for the Characteristic. The following entries are possible:
- For characteristics in character format (CHAR), this field contains a single character string. If the characteristic is assigned to a phrase set, the phrase key must be entered here.
- For characteristics in numeric format (NUM), this field contains a numeric value or a value range. Units of measure must be appended to the value manually with a space in between. If a unit of measure is specified, it is expected by inspection plan generation.
- Values in time format (TIME) must match the following template: HH:MM:SS.
- Values in date format (DATE) must match the following template: DD.MM.YYYY.
For multiple-value characteristics, you can specify only one value as a characteristic value. You should avoid using multiple value assignment if possible, because only one of the values can be copied to the inspection plan.
