Use
The value is chosen by the user to describe a message in more detail. MESTYP, MESCOD and MESFCT provide a unique ID for the message, where only MESTYP (the "message type") must be maintained. They belong to the key fields in the partner profiles, which are used, for example, to determine the port or IDoc type in outbound processing.
The UN/EDIFACT data element 1001 can be used as an example of a default value.
