Documentation
General
If IDocs are to be forwarded to the application of the recipient system, there must be a corresponding logical address in the control record. It must be connected between the EDI partners. In the special case of internal invoices in sales, see the application help for transaction WEL0 or WE45.
Applications
Outbound IDocs:
If the target system is also an SAP system, they are forwarded directly to the logical address.
Inbound IDocs:
You allocate the logical address to the internal organisation (table EDILOGADR). Also choose Control -> Forward inbound (transaction WEL0) from the initial screen of the IDoc interface. The application must support forwarding, that is, analyze table EDILOGADR.
IDoc interface
No action required.
EDI subsystem
Outbound IDocs:
No action required.
Inbound IDocs:
The EDI subsystem determines the logical receiver address from the receiver information in the interchange file and fills the field.
Example:
In the case of the EDI standard EDIFACT, the logical address can be a combination of the receiver address in the header segment UNB and the routing address in the UNG segment.
In the case of the EDI standard ANSI X12, the logical address can be derived from the segments ISA and GS.
