General
This field defines how the IDoc is transferred from SAP to the EDI subsystem.
The field must be filled for outbound IDocs and blank for inbound IDocs.
Applications
Outbound IDocs:
The selection module of the application receives the data via the PARTOUT (partner profile) parameter. The value can be overwritten so that the mode used to transfer the IDocs can be controlled.
Inbound IDocs:
No action required.
IDoc interface
Outbound IDocs:
The outbound data flow is controlled via the OUTMOD field.
Inbound IDocs:
No action required.
