Definition

Maximum number of status records written if syntax errors are detected in an IDoc.

Use

Syntax errors can occur when IDocs are processed if the IDoc that is sent or received does not match the syntax specification of the underlying IDoc types. In this case, a status record is logged for each syntax error detected in the current IDoc.

You can use this parameter to limit the number of status records generated for syntax errors. The IDoc may contain further syntax errors, however, when this maximum number is reached. However, you reduce the probability with a small selected maximum number that simple subsequent defects are also logged.
