Documentation
General
This field describes which hierarchy level the segment is assigned to. A segment can only be used on one hierarchy level per IDoc type.
The hierarchy level can be calculated as follows:
- Segments which do not have a higher-level parent segment, whose maximum repetition is 1, and which do not start a segment group have the hierarchy level 1.
- Segments which do not have a higher-level parent segment but whose maximum repetition is greater than 1 or which start a segment group have the hierarchy level 2.
- Segments which have a higher-level parent segment have a hierarchy level which is 1 greater than that of the parent segment.
The highest hierarchy level for a segment is 99.
