Use

Here you can specify a fixed name for the file, in which the IDocs are transferred to the EDI subsystem. As a result there is the risk that a file that has not yet been processed will be overwritten.

For this reason SAP recommends the use of a function module which generates dynamic file names. You make this entry in the field "function module".

Dependencies

If you enter a function module in the standard system for the generation of file names, the field is then ignored.

If you have entered the existing file port in the tab page Test in IDoc administration, the settings for inbound, outbound and status files are copied as default values in the test programs. When testing it is sensible to use fixed file names.
