IDoc interface

The interface establishes the unique identification (internal number assignment) for the IDocs.

EDI subsystem

Outbound IDocs:
The subsystem must store the IDoc number temporarily and transfer it to the status records for this IDoc later to be transferred. Only the IDoc number enables the SAP System to then assign the status records to an IDoc.

Inbound IDocs:
The field is blank and is completed by the interface.
