Definition

For external documents, a document status is held in the system which documents the previous steps and limits the functions still possible to one document.

Here you can limit the document status further. Note that the system already makes a preselection. For example, transaction FBX4 (change received documents): the document status must be 4 (imported at receiver), 6 (modified at receiver), 7 (error when posting) or 9 (imported and changed at receiver). Documents with other statuses are not allowed even if the user makes a different selection.
