Definition

You can set the start date for the worklflow for automatic owner move-in via offsets in Customizing.

The offsets keep the number of move-in reversals to a minimum. If you receive no notification of a subsequent tenant after a certain number of days, owner move-in must take place before the start of the validity period because a "real" move-in during the validity period may be notified several weeks in advance.

You can set upper and lower limits for the start date. You determine the lower limit by adding the offset for the earliest start date to the date on which the move-out was created. You determine the upper limit by subtracting the offset for the latest start date from the move-in date for the scheduled owner move-in.

The upper limit generally determines the start date. If the lower limit calculated is after the upper limit (for example, in the case of a move-out within the validity period), the lower limit determines the start date. If the start date calculated in this way is after the current date, the current date is used.

Example

  • Validity period from 10/01 to 04/30
  • Offset for earliest start date: 5 days
  • Offset for latest start date: 14 days

  1. Move-out on 05/01 before the beginning of the validity period

Date 05/01 05/06 09/17 10/01

------|--------|-------------------|-----------|-----------

Activity Move-out lower upper Move-in

limit limit

Here the workflow starts on 09/17 and creates the automatic move-in for the move-in date 10/01.

  1. Move-out on 11/01 within validity period

Date 09/17 11/01 11/02 11/06

------|---------------|-------|-------|--------------------

Activity upper Move-out Move-in lower

limit limit

In this case the workflow starts on 11/06 and creates the automatic owner move-in for move-in date 11/02.
