Definition

Controls the calculation of a formula profile depending on data changes to the initial profile.

Use

If the profile values of a profile are changed, and that profile is used as an input parameter for a formula allocation, the result values of the formula allocation and the result values of dependent formula allocations are no longer valid. They must therefore be calculated again. Normally, the calculation does not take place immediately but is collected for all formula allocations designated for calculation (asynchronous calculation).

If you do not select this field (which is normally the case), a temporary calculation trigger is created at profile level (profile with the changed values). If you want to start an asynchronous calculation, all temporary calculation triggers must be compressed at formula allocation level. The complete formula allocation is then designated for calculation and is included in the next calculation run.

Note:

If there is only one initial profile in a formula allocation, you must not select this field otherwise the formula profile will never be calculated once an event that triggers a calculation has been executed.

In certain situations, we recommend that you do not to trigger a recalculation of the formula profile as soon as the values of an initial profile have been changed.

Example:

Profile values are regularly imported to the initial profiles A and B of a formula allocation. The formula profile is only calculated when all profile values have been transferred. The profile values of initial profile A are imported before the profile values of the other initial profile. If you mark the initial profile A does not trigger a calculation, you prevent the calculation occurring at a time when errors would occur due to missing values. The system, therefore, does execute an incorrect calculation.

If you select the field does not trigger calculation for an initial profile, the system creates a temporary calculation trigger at the profile level if, for example, the profile values change. This calculation trigger is flagged in the calculation workbench as does not trigger calculation. You can compress this calculation trigger at the formula allocation level, but the formula allocation is not included in the next calculation run. If you try to start a calculation, the system issues the corresponding message.

The calculation trigger that has been created makes all subsequently allocated result profiles invalid. It is updated in the calculation prevents dependent profiles from being billed.

The formula profile is recalculated the next time an event that triggers a calculation is executed for this formula allocation.
