Definition
The regional zone where the shipping point (departure zone) or the ship-to party (transportation zone) of a delivery is located.
Use
You can define regional zones to suit the requirements of your own business and country. The system uses the departure zone and the transportation zone in combination with other information about the delivery, such as
- The countries of origin and destination
- The shipping conditions
- The transportation group
to propose a suitable route.
Example
In the USA, for example, you can define regional zones to correspond to the US postal zip codes.
