Definition

Interest is usually calculated on items up until the document date of payment. However, if items are cleared by posting a bill of exchange, then interest is to be calculated up until the bill of exchange due date.

The indicator means that the bill of exchange payment document type is taken into consideration in the field of the same name. All payments which were posted with such a document type are then interpreted as payments by bill of exchange. Interest is calculated on the items cleared with these payments up until the bill of exchange due date. When printing the payment, this date is printed instead of the document date.
