Documentation
Definition
Indicator specifies whether the item in question is a phantom assembly.
Supplementary Documentation - DUMPS 0010
Use
The system checks the following data:
- Special procurement type in the material master record.
You can define the special procurement type via the phantom item indicator so that the system treats the components as a phantom assembly in the BOM explosion.
- Explosion type in the BOM item.
You can define the explosion type via the "phantom assembly off" indicator so that the system switches off the phantom assembly function when exploding the BOM.
Procedure
Examples
You enter special procurement type 50 (phantom assembly) in the material master record for material A. The phantom assembly indicator is set for this special procurement type.
An assembly exists for material A.
You enter material A in two BOMs as a component.
- You do not enter an explosion type or an explosion type for which the indicator phantom assembly off is set, for the material item in the first BOM.
The system sets the phantom assembly indicator.
The system passes the dependent requirement directly on to the lower-level component. - In the second BOM, you enter an explosion type for the material item which sets the "phantom assembly off" indicator.
The system does not set the phantom item indicator because the system switches off the "phantom item" attribute (special procurement type in material master) due to the selected explosion type.
The system also creates dependent requirements for the phantom assembly.
Dependencies
The phantom item indicator is only set in the item if you define the special procurement indicator and the explosion type as follows:
- The phantom item indicator is set for the special procurement type
- The "phantom assembly off" indicator is not set for the selected explosion type.
