Definition
Data elements are used for the semantic description of structures or table fields in the Data Dictionary. On screens, data elements generally create the relationship between the screen field and the Data Dictionary (F1 help and technical properties from the domain that the data element is based on). As a result, the use of data elements seems suitable for identifying Drag&Relate-enabled fields.
For all screen fields that reference an identifying data element that is assigned to an object type, the system tries to create a corresponding object link.
