Definition

You use this indicator to define that the system automatically generates a BOM explosion number for components when transferring component requirements from the APO.

Use

You only use this indicator if you use MRP in connection with the Rapid Planning Matrix in the APO. All dependent requirements, that the planning matrix for the final assembly has determined and that the system plans further in the DI System, are to be planned with the same, the system also transfers the BOM explosion date to be used. This date is also to be used for the lower BOM levels. The DI System then generates a BOM explosion number and uses the BOM explosion date from the APO as the fixed key date. The BOM explosion number ensures that the whole BOM structure for a material is exploded using the same explosion date. This applies even if it is a material that is set for make-to-stock production (indicator Collective Requirement in Materials immer mit dem selben Auflösungsdatum aufgelöst wird, auch wenn the material master).

Dependencies

The BOM explosion number is taken into account also in the backflushing process in Repetitive Manufacturing.
