Definition
Determines which data can be selected and transfered to a target system during data replication.
Use
You can use the filter object to specify which data can be transferred to a target system using one or more outbound services. Usually, a filter object is equal to the main database table of an enterprise service. One such example is table MARA
for services that transfer material data. The corresponding outbound implementation supplies a corresponding explicit simple filter. You can define this filter in the SAP Easy Access menu under Cross Application Components -> Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Master Data Governance -> Define Filter Criteria.
You can also include a filter object in a outbound implementation with a different main database table.
Dependencies
You can define filter objects in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Master Data Governance -> General Settings -> Data Replication -> Enhance Default Settings for Outbound Implementations -> Define Filter Objects. You can assign several filters to one filter object.
You can assign filter objects to business objects in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Master Data Governance -> General Settings -> Data Replication -> Enhance Default Settings for Outbound Implementations -> Define Business Objects and Object Identifiers -> Define Business Objects Available for Replication.
You specify which filter objects are available in a particular outbound implementation in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Master Data Governance -> General Settings -> Data Replication -> Enhance Default Settings for Outbound Implementations -> Define Outbound Implementations.
