Definition
You can use this switch to configure how the link generation for Drag&Relate is controlled. In the standard case, the system only creates links for fields on a screen that have been assigned to a (business) object using a data element.
For interactive maintenance of Drag&Relate data, you can also generate links for fields whose data elements have not yet been assigned to a business object. In such cases, the system creates a link for a special object type, DRDYNFIELD.
The Display method for this object type corresponds to the "Data Element View" of Drag&Relate metadata maintenance. This means that if you click a link of this type, the Drag&Relate data is displayed for the data element that this field refers to.
You can configure the generation as follows: Links are generated either only for fields that do not have an object type assignment or for both fields that have assignments and fields that do not have an assignment.
In the first mode, the fields that do not have an assignment are easier to identify. In the second mode, you can use fields that have an assignment and fields that do not have an assignment at the same time. This may be useful if you want to develop and test Drag&Relate scenarios at the same time.
In the third mode, the system generates links for all fields with object type "DRDYNFIELD", that is, also for fields that have already been assigned to an object type. You can use this mode to display or change existing field assignments (otherwise, the Display method of the assigned business object would be execeuted).
Use
Select the required mode. The next time that you launch a transaction, the system generates the links accordingly. This setting is user-specific and is saved as a user parameter. To return to "normal" mode, you must set the switch back again.
