Definition

Specifies how project controlling is carried out:

  • Internal Order (Project Definition, Automatic): In this method, an internal order is created at project definition level. All elements of a project in cProjects are assigned to this internal order.
  • Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Manual): In this method, a user has to create the PS project in the ERP system. The user then assigns the elements of a cProjects project to the WBS elements of this PS project manually in cProjects.
  • Multilevel Controlling (Project Role, Manual): In this method, a user has to create the PS project in the ERP system. The user then has to assign the project roles of a cProjects project to the WBS elements of this PS project manually in cProjects.
  • Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Automatic): In this method, the system automatically creates a PS project definition for the project definition and creates a WBS billing element at the first level of the hierarchy. More WBS elements that map the structure of the cProjects project are created for the elements of the cProjects project. The lowest level of the PS project is specified by the controlling level. All elements of the cProjects project that are below the lowest level are assigned to the WBS element of the lowest level.
  • Multilevel Controlling (Project Role, Automatic): In this method, the system automatically creates a PS project definition for the project definition and a WBS billing element at the first level of the hierarchy. More WBS elements are created for the project roles of the cProjects projects.
  • Internal Order (Structure Element, Manual): In this method, a user manually assigns the elements of a cProjects project to the internal order in cProjects.
  • Internal Order (Project Role, Manual): In this method, a user assigns the project roles of a cProjects project to the internal order in cProjects.

Use

In the controlling methods in which the project elements of a cProjects project are assigned to an account assignment in the ERP system, the elements are assigned in CATS, travel expenses data entry, and so on.

In the controlling methods in which the project roles of a cProjects project are assigned to an account assignment in the ERP system, the roles are assigned in CATS, travel expenses data entry, and so on.

If an account assignment cannot be determined, the system uses the account assignment that is assigned to the project definition of the cProjects project instead.

Dependencies

The controlling type and if necessary, the automatic project model, are derived from the controlling method.
