Definition

You can select from several predefined conversion rules. Note that some conversion rules can only be specified for certain types of source fields. You can define a combination of the factors listed below each of the following field types:

  • Date fields
    • Sequence of day, month, and year
    • Type of separator (slash or period)
    • Special formats, such as the number of days since the beginning of the year
  • Time fields
    • Sequence of hour and minute
    • With or without separator
    • Special formats, such as the time stamp
  • Currency amount fields
    • Number of decimal places
    • Type of decimal formatting (point or comma)
    • Left- or right-justified
    • With leading zeros
  • Character string fields
    • Left- or right-justified
    • Special formats, such as conversion to upper case letters (TRANSLATE TO UPPER CASE)

If you require a conversion rule that is not implemented in the system, you must specify an exit module for this node.
