Definition

The data mining method controls the environment and therefore the run time of the automatic drill-down function using parameter values. Via the method, you can for example, define when a reporting object is to be drilled down further or when it is to be issued as worth further investigation.

Use

You can create and maintain a data mining method independently of reports and forms. If you wish to execute a report in data mining mode, you need to choose an appropriate data mining method to control the automatic navigation through the reporting data. If a suitable data mining emthod does not yet exist, you can create one using transaction KCM1.

Procedure

Using the F4 possible entries, choose a data mining method.
