Documentation
WPS control is a setting for the revision type. 'W" and 'N' are the possible values.
The setting 'W" designates revisions which can be processed in the Maintenance Event Builder. Also using such revisions in standard transactions such as IW22, will cause the application of the MEB logic. For example assigning a WPS-controlled revision to a notification via IW22 will assign the revision to the notification according to the MEB logic, therefore establishing a link of these objects via a cross reference.
The setting 'N' designates revisions which won't be processed by the Maintance Event Builder. Such revisions cannot even be selected in the Maintenance Event Builder. Also no MEB logic will be applied to such revisions in the standard transaction such as IW22. For example assigning a revision to a notification via transaction IW22 will result in a simple header assignment between the notification and the revision. No cross referece will be created.
