Definition

Path under which an original application file is displayed if the file has been saved to the SAP database, an archive, or a vault.

Use

The frontend computer needs this path to display original application files that have already been saved to a secure storage area.

Secure storage locations cannot be accessed by the display program. For this reason, the system creates a temporary copy, which can be accessed by the display program using this path.

• The file format for temporary files of all applications is TMP. In step "Define workstation applications", you can define file formats for specific applications (for example, ".DOC").

Procedure

Only enter this path for the data carrier types that are available online.

Dependencies

If you want to change an original application file that has been saved to a secure storage area, you can select a path (file manager) for accessing the copy directly when you call the function Edit.
