Definition
A report has a large number of layout parameters which can be used to control the layout of the report output. You do not need to enter all these parameters for each layout, as certain standard layouts exist. These standard layouts provide default values for report-specific layouts that you can overwrite individually if you wish.
The layout parameters are split up into language-dependent and language independent parameters, thus enabling you, for example, to set any special country-specific features via the language.
When you define a report, the system fills in all the fields with the default value of the standard layout you have entered. You can overwrite these default values for a report.
For a new report, the system proposes the standard layout 'SAP'. This is supplied when the Report Writer is installed.
If the language-dependent layout parameters do not exist in your logon language, the system reads them in the language 'D'. If these do not exist either, the system also reads the standard layout 'SAP' in the logon language or in language 'D'.
