Documentation
Definition
Enter the number of decimal places to be used for rounding during billing proration.
Use
In the standard setting for proration, the system rounds to the same number of decimal places used for reading meters. Most customers want this type of rounding. If you are also satisfied with this, do not make any entries here.
Dependencies
Example
A meter is read without any decimal places. However, during proration in billing, the amount must be rounded to two decimal places. As a result of lineal weighting, and a price change in the middle of the billing period, a consumption value of 91 kWh is divided into 45.5 kWh for both periods, instead of 45 kWh and 46 kWh. This can be the case if the values for the billing factor or the register factor are very large.
