Definition
Valid-from date of the rent adjustment
Use
This date is used in conjunction with the company code, the adjustment method and the user ID to identify the rent adjustment run.
Dependencies
Normally, this date is also the valid-from date of the conditions that result from this rent adjustment.
However, this is not the case if:
- A rent adjustment frequency or adjustment delay has been defined in the rental agreement for the index adjustment
- The notice periods of the adjusted agreement do not match the valid-from date in a Swiss rent adjustment
- Existing condition items (graduated rent) are adjusted, since the adjustment is carried out on the respective valid-from date here

Use
Normally this date is the same as the valid-from date in the conditions, as a consequence of the rent adjustment.
Rent adjustments based on Swiss law, however, can only be carried out on the next possible date of notice. The date entered here is used as a basis for calculating the date of notice.

Period of notice of rental agreement: 2 months before quarter end
Since there is only one month until the end of the quarter, this rental agreement will be adjusted with effect from 07/01/1996.
