Definition
Specifies that the system executes finite scheduling for an order during the capacity availability check if there is not sufficient capacity available on the planned date for all operations in the order.
During finite scheduling, the system searches for dates on which you can execute the order without capacity problems.
Use
The indicator is only relevant for the capacity availability check in the background, that is, for the capacity availability check for:
- Collective conversion of planned orders to production orders
- Collective release of production orders
Dependencies
You control the capacity availability check and the finite scheduling with the help of the overall profile that you entered in Customizing for the availability check:
- In the time profile of the overall profile, you define the planning period in which the system searches during finite scheduling for dates with sufficient capacity.
- In the strategy profile of the overall profile, you define the planning direction in which the system searches for dates with sufficient capacity.
