- For example, if you perform a top-down analysis of a finished product, the levels are numbered as follows:
- Level 0: Finished product
- Level 1: Semi-finished product
- Level 2: Raw material
- If you perform a bottom-up analysis of a raw material, the levels are numbered in a reverse order:
- Level 0: Raw material
- Level 1: Semi-finished product
- Level 2: Finished product
