Definition

Indicator that displays the special procurement of the material which is relevant to the explosion type of material items.

Use

The following special procurements are relevant for the explosion type of a material item and these are displayed in the BOM:

  • phantom assembly
  • direct production (collective order)
  • planning

Dependencies

The system determines the value as follows:

  • BOM only exists in one plant

    Value Special procurement from the material master record (detail screen: MRP 1)

  • BOM exists in more than one plant

    Value Special procurement from the material master record (detail screen MRP 1) for the initial plant

The BOM item explosion takes place independently of the explosion type (settings in Customizing for BOMs).
The item is exploded if:

  • no explosion type is defined for the BOM item
  • an explosion type is defined that is designated for the explosion of the appropriate special procurement (for example: phantom assembly).
