A measurement of the varaible size item that can be used to calculate the quantity of variable size items as a variable in the relevant variable size item formula.

Examples

Variable size item data of sheet metal:

Number of variable size items:        10

Size unit of measurement:        MM

Stockkeeping unit for the
sheet metal in the material master:        QM

Calculation of the quantity of variable size items:

A = Size 1 * size 2
A = 200 MM * 300 MM
A = 60.000 QMM
--> Quantity of variable size items per sheet: 0,06 QM

Since 10 metal parts go into the component, the quantity of variable size items comes to
10 * 0,06 QM = 0,6 QM.
