Documentation
Definition
Quantity of variable-size items, that the system calculates from the entered sizes. If necessary, you can enter a variable-size item formula for the calculation.
The variable-size item quantity refers to one piece.
Procedure
If you change a field that affects the calculation of the quantity of the variable-size items (such as size, formula), the system only recalculates, the variable-size item quantity after you have revoked the already existing variable-size item quantity.
To do this, delete the content of the variable-size item quantity field.
Examples
Size 1: 200
Size 2: 300
Size unit of measure: MM
Variable size item unit of measure: QM
Calculating the variable size item:
A = Size 1 * Size 2
A = 200 MM * 300 MM
A = 0,06 QM
The variable size item quantity amounts to 0,06 QM per sheet.
Dependencies
The total quantity needed in the MRP is calculated by the system. For a base quantity of 1 the product is from number of variable size item and variable size item quantity.
If for example 10 sheet parts are entered in the component (number of variable size items = 10), then the total quantity is 10 * 0,06 QM = 0,6 QM.
