Definition
This indicator shows that the MRP run does not generate dependent requirements for components of a BOM for strategy Planning without final assembly or Planning with planning material.
Use
In the BOM item, if you select an explosion type that has this indicator, the material component is not planned until a sales order is received.

This indicator is relevant to the following strategies in MRP:
Planning without final assembly
Planning with planning material
These strategies are oriented toward make-to-order production. The components and assemblies that comprise the finished product are produced in advance. The finished product is only finally assembled once a sales order is received.
The replenishment lead time for some components may be very short: for bought-in parts, for example. This means that you do not need to plan these components until you receive a sales order.
