Definition
Controls whether an order BOM is fixed or whether changes to the material BOM using Variant Configuration are included in the order BOM.
This indicator is only important if you work with Variant Configuration and with order BOMs.
Use
When the indicator in an order BOM is set, the order BOM is fixed, that is to say no comparison of the order BOM with the material BOM is carried out in Variant Configuration.
When the indicator in an order BOM is not set, a comparison with the material BOM (with the same material number) takes place in Variant Configuration. The system automatically transfers changes which you have made to the material BOM, into the order BOM.
