This indicator ensures that an item that already exists under an external item Id can be used in the BOM.

The following items exist in the BOM:

You can allocate the external item Id in the following way when you create a new item:

• Indicator for repeated effectivity is set

  You can enter the new item under the existing item Id A.

• Indicator for repeated effectivity not set

  You cannot enter the new item under the existing item Id; you must allocate a new item Id (for example, B).

Dependencies

Repeated effectivity for items is only possible if Engineering Change Management is activated for BOM maintenance (indicator: ECM is active for BOMs).
The effectivity conditions are not checked for repeated effectivity (for example, valid-from date).
