Documentation
Definition
Communication type with which you can exchange documents and messages with a business partner.
In the Business Address Services you can enter a standard communication type. This entry can be used to decide automatically (at program level) which method of communication is used to transmit messages.
Example
One business partner would like to receive all messages via fax, while another prefers e-mail.
Notes
Furthermore, the method of communication that can be used can, of course, depend on the application context. For example, invitations should perhaps only be sent by post because of attachments, whereas a log can be sent by post, fax or e-mail.
For this purpose, you can define Communication Strategies that can be included in each of the application contexts.
