Use
If the resource is used by several applications, you can use the Finiteness Level to control which applications the resource plans on a finite basis and which on a infinite basis.
Dependencies
In the SAP APO Implementation Guide (IMG), you define the Finiteness Level that you can assign under Advanced Planning and Optimization -> Master Data -> Resource -> Define Finiteness Levels for Resources.
If you do not assign a Finiteness Level to the resource, the default value is 0
In the settings for the relevant application (for example, in the strategy profile), you enter the maximum finiteness level in SAP APO to which the resource should be planned on a finite basis.
Notes
- The maximal possible value is 9999. If you enter this value, only those applications for which the finiteness level is also specified as 9999 will plan resources on a finite basis.
- If you enter the value 0, all applications in which finite planning is allowed will plan this resource on a finite basis, independently of the Finiteness Level specified there.
