Documentation
Definition
Indicates the number of products that can be produced on the line at the base rate. The base rate is a time-independent rate that consists of the number of units of measure, the unit of measure, the number of time units, and the time unit.
Use
You can enter the standard utilization of your line as the base rate. You can then use this rate for scheduling at times when utilization is normal. If you want to produce with a higher or lower utilization level at a different rate, you can define a time-dependent production rate.
Dependencies
You use the Rate-Independent Takt Time indicator to determine whether the system uses the base rate or the production rate for takt-based scheduling.
