Definition

With this key you can define any number of chronological time segments. Each of these time segments can have a specific period length.

Use

A period pattern is used to:

• determine the increment and the time frame to be used when cumulating available capacity via a hierarchy or over time.
• establish the time period for a graphical display.

Examples

For example, a period pattern consisting of a time segment with 7 periods each composed of one day is used by the system to cumulate available capacity for each individual day in the period.

If there is a second time segment in the period pattern and if this segment consists of 3 periods each one week in length, then the system cumulates available capacity for 3 chronological weeks.
