Profiles determine how the certificate revocation function interprets the status of a certificate. Each application should have its own profile, so that administrators can configure the certificate revocation function on a per application basis. A profile consists of a name, a description, Active and Strict flags, and a source list.
Use
Use profiles to configure how the certificate revocation function handles certificates for your application. SAP delivers a set of default profiles. Create custom profiles, starting with the letter Z, for your own applications. With the profile you can control whether the check takes place (Active), how the function handles CRLs that it cannot access right away (Strict), and the source to use for a CRL issuer. You can also transport profiles to other systems.
