Definition

The code page used to store all non-transparent data in the database.

These are the fields (further to the right) of database tables, which store SAP pools or SAP clusters. The first fields are mostly transparent key fields, which do not belong to the data, but are used to administer the pools and clusters.

In the Data Dictionary, this is not indicated by the table field type, but by whether a whole table is declared as POOL or CLUSTER instead of TRANSP.

This entry can only be made once during installation. If you want to change it later, the contents of the database must be converted.

Normally it is selected so that the application servers with the highest data throughput can have access without conversion.
