Definition
Defines how the commodity pricing engine (CPE) calculates one rate from a list of price quotations, how a surcharge is added, and how the periods for price quotations and currency exchange rates are determined.
Use
The term rule can be assigned to a term. It includes a calculation rule, a surcharge rule, a period determination rule for quotations, and a period determination rule for currency exchange rates.
A term rule or its detail data is needed for all term types that use period determination, for example, rate-based and value-based term types.
Because it does not include a quotation name, term rules can be reused for several commodities.
Term Rules can be defined in the CPE Customizing activity Define CPE Term Rule, and can also be restricted to certain areas of the calling application.
