Definition

Defines the rule for determining the period during which price quotations are considered.

Use

The period determination rule for commodity rates defines the following details:

  • Period determination routine - for calculating the period
  • Source Routine - for reading quotations from a specific table
  • Fields for calculating the period include the following:
    • Reference Date Routine - for choosing the starting point of the period determination
    • Date Offset Routine and Number of Time Units - for calculating the base date out of the reference date
    • Time UoM Routine and Time Units Before and Time Units After - for defining the length of the period before and after the base date
    • Excluding Base Date flag - to exclude the base date from the period
      • or
    • Fix Start Date/Time and Fix End Date/Time
  • Read-until routine - to restrict the use of data after a certain date
  • Date list routine - to define the number of entries within the period
  • Period determination calendar - to determine the dates when the market is closed
  • Missing entry routine - for handling missing data
  • Closed days routine - for handling days with closed market
  • Maximum weighting - to define the maximal weight of one entry during the calculation
