Definition

Specifies the calendar used in the period determination rule.

Use

The commodity pricing engine (CPE) needs the calendar used for period determination to distinguish between days where market data should be available and closed market days, such as weekends and public holidays.

Whenever data on a requested date is not available, the CPE can apply different rules for missing data (market normally open) or expected days without data (closed market days). Therefore a calendar that includes public holidays needs to be specified.
