Definition

Specifies the unit of measurement (UoM) of the commodity. This UoM is used by the commodity pricing engine (CPE) to convert the item quantity into the commodity quantity.

Use

If this unit is not specified, the document item quantity and its unit will be considered as the commodity quantity.

Otherwise, the formula evaluation will convert the item quantity into the commodity UoM by using the quantity conversion rule of the formula. This means that the conversion factors have to be maintained in the corresponding conversion source, such as the material master, or directly as quantities in the formula itself.
